Monthly Archives: July 2012

What’s New?

Highlights since my last major update:
Buddy died.
Remington died.
Joe Grey disappeared.
Tom Cat disappeared.
Kate disappeared.
I got engaged.
I own property in Mexico.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude, not Summa Cum Laude. I missed it by .03 points.
A move to NC is being tossed around.
I am in a ridiculously debt-laden financial position, moreso than at any other point in my life.
Chloe has an injured rear leg that I hope does not need surgery.
Cliff had four surgeries in 13 months, the last of which was a PU. He’s doing wonderfully since.
I need a hallway’s worth of hardwood floor resurfaced. Anyone know if this can be DIY?
Jude showed up.
My little brother is getting married, and it’s a fairly big cluster****.
I have some of the best friends I’ve ever had in my life.
I own land in Scotland.
Indy, Maya, Maisy, and Obi are doing well. So is foster cat.
The feral cat group with which I work just opened a new clinic last weekend.
The newest Joe Grey book is due out in November, and will also be released on audio. (Along with ALL of the previous books! I am more excited about this than anything else in recent history!)
This will by my (our) last term serving on the entertainment committee at the club.
Right now:
I don’t want to be at work.
I have a headache.
I’m bored out of my mind, and
I’m frustrated that I could be using this time to get other, more important things done.
Also, I am hungry…and waiting for a converter for my “new” fountain pen.  I hope this one I can use often without performance issues. (The collection is up to 9, a few of which work at times.)

july 26, or The Opinion of an Other

“America, for all its manifold strengths, is still a country in which the population can be roused to a frenzy of condemnation by the sight of Janet Jackson’s escaped nipple on the Super Bowl, but views the sight of a bound man being torched to death as all-round family entertainment.”
